From Root To Bone is the podcast for people who are parched, poised and primed to rehydrate our souls and do some unlearning.

Dr. Jennifer Mullan, host of the From Root to Bone podcast

Meet your host

I’m Dr. Jenn — The Rage Doctor. For 25+ years I’ve worked in clinical psychology, community organizing, and ancestral spirit work. I didn’t come to maintain the mental health system. I came to dismantle it.

Twenty-five years in, I’m still here saying the same thing louder: the system isn’t broken, it’s working exactly as designed — and we deserve something completely different.

I founded Decolonizing Therapy® — a psychological evolution that weaves together the political, the ancestral, the therapeutic, and the global. My work is an urgent call to stop managing symptoms and start going to the root: generational trauma, colonial wounds, and the sacred wisdom locked inside our rage.

I’m the author of the National Bestseller Decolonizing Therapy: Oppression, Historical Trauma & Politicizing Your Practice, creator of @decolonizingtherapy on Instagram, and recipient of Essence magazine’s 2020 Essential Hero Award in Mental Health.
